This is an exerpt from the ballet that introduces our cast of Fish chorusters. Here they are summoned by their ballet instructor, Miss Pretty Fish to help rescue Thumbelina from her lily pad prison in the middle of the pond. Unfortunately, the fish are not able to think ahead and unwittingly release their friend into a new situation which has a potentially deadly outcome.
Thumbelina cries out for help and is rescued by Malcolm Mayfly who has just won yet another sword battle with a competing Mayfly.
