BIOGRAPHY
GERALD RHEAULT, musician

Mr. Rheault is a professionally-trained musician with over twenty-three years
of work experience. He is fluent in all styles of music from Musical Theatre,
"classical" (instrumental and vocal), Operatic, Symphonic, and Choral
(liturgical as well as secular).  He has worked from the eastern Florida coast in
Cocoa Beach, to Long Beach, California.  He performs most often on piano,
but has performed on layerd or multiple keyboards (sometimes both) numerous
times. He is familiar with Catholic, Presbyterian, Episcopalian, and Lutheran
and Jewish liturgical structure.

Mr. Rheault has performed with such professional theatre organizations as
California Music Circus, Best of Broadway, the Utah Shakespeare Festival,
Musical Theatre West, and The Human Race Theatre Company, as well as many others.  He is frequently called to perform for other organizations ranging in genre from Rock & Roll, Country, Jazz, Funk, and 1940's Swing Bands.

As a professional conductor, he has comfortably conducted for the full range of musical capabilities, including school-aged beginners all the way up to AFM professionals.  He shows equal comfort and skill in a theatrical music pit and on stage in front of a symphony orchestra and chorale. Recently he was seen conducting the Orchestra of Southern Utah in several performances.  Amongst the pieces he conducted were two arrangements that he wrote specifically for this orchestra: Medley from LES MISERABLES, and excerpts from NIGHTMARE BEFORE CHRISTMAS.

He has composed a musical titled THUMBELINA, and arranged another musical titled FRIDAY AT FIVE, has premiered several new musicals as Music Director and/or Conductor/keyboardist, including: LEND ME A TENOR (the musical), GREAT EXPECTATIONS (the musical), rightnexttome, CONVENIENCE, and FIVE COURSE LOVE.  His piano skills can be heard on the official Cast Album of FIVE COURSE LOVE offered through Amazon.com

Finally, with his in-home recording studio he also creates accompaniments (rehearsal and performance CDs) in digital audio format for vocalists and theatres, and has sequenced and recorded a number of musicals and operas for various organizations.  His work can be heard every year at the Utah Shakespeare Festval's Greenshow, where he is called on to arrange and musical direct the vocals and other live, on-stage musicians, as well as record all of the accompaniment tracks for performances.

Currently he resides in Cedar City, Utah and holds the position of Assistant Conductor for the Orchestra of Southern Utah.  He is currently employed by Southern Utah University and is now their full-time Music Director and Conductor for all productions that are produced by the College of Performing and Visual Arts, and accompanies most of the dance classes offered.  He also serves as choir director and pianist for Community Presbyterian Church.
